Account Disclosure Information The following important disclosure MUST be read and accepted before a member of the McHenry County Federal Credit Union can request access to the HOME BANKING on-line service. In this disclosure, MCFCU or WE means the McHenry County Federal Credit Union . MEMBER or YOU means an active member of the McHenry County Federal Credit Union .
Whereas, MCFCU and the Member on the following access request form, agree as follows: HOME BANKING on-line services. Member hereby requests access to HOME BANKING on-line service from McHenry County Federal Credit Union . In order to continue access to HOME BANKING, a member must remain a member in good standing with MCFCU. The member will be allowed to perform the following transactions using the HOME BANKING on-line system. - Transfers. You may transfer funds between any of your MCFCU share and/or loan accounts. Transfers from any share account other than a share draft (checking) account will be limited to six (6) per calendar month in combination with telephone, preauthorized, online, audio response or ATM transfers.
Transfers made using the HOME BANKING online service WILL NOT be processed at the time the transaction is submitted. Transactions may be processed at any time during the business day, but at the latest, by the end of the following business day. - Additional services. From time to time, MCFCU may announce additional services which will be available from the HOME BANKING online service. Members use of these additional services will constitute acceptance of the terms and conditions present on the additional services at that time.
- Access Limitations. MCFCU reserves the right to limit the amount of online access per month or per session.
- Operating Systems. The MCFCU Internet home banking site is designed to operate using world wide web technologies and protocols which are adaptable to a wide range of systems. The home banking section uses SSL encryption and requires a browser with a current (unexpired) Thawte Root CA Security Certificate. We check your certificate and provide update information, if necessary, when you enter the home banking site.
- PIN (Personal Identification Number) for HOME BANKING online service. You hereby acknowledge that you have reviewed and read the appropriate disclosure for using the HOME BANKING online service and agree to the terms of the disclosure. You agree that the use of the HOME BANKING online service by other persons will give them access to any of your Share, Share Draft, IRA, Certificate and Loan Accounts. Access to a member account will be by means of a PIN number created by the member.
You agree NOT to make your PIN number available to any other person. If you believe your PIN number has been lost, stolen or compromised in any way or that someone has transferred or may transfer money from your account without your permission, Call: (815) 459-3615 or (815) 338-3230, during normal business hours, write us at: 345 Congress Pkwy. We suggest you change your PIN number from time to time and to also do so immediately if you suspect another person has gained access to this information. - Liability for Unauthorized Transfers Liability Disclosure. Tell us AT ONCE if you believe your PIN number has been lost or stolen and immediately change your PIN number. Telephoning is the best way to limit your potential losses. You could lose all the money in your account. If you tell us within two (2) business days, you can lose no more than $50 if someone used your PIN number without your permission.
If you do NOT tell us within two (2) business days after you learn of the loss or theft of your PIN number, and we can prove we could have stopped someone from using your PIN number without your permission if you had told us, you could lose as much as $500. Also, if your statement shows transfers that you did not make, tell us at once. If you do not tell us within sixty (60) days after the statement was sent to you, you may not get back any money you lost after the sixty (60) days if we can prove that we could have stopped someone from taking the money if you had told us in time. If a good reason kept you from telling us, we will extend the time periods. Address and telephone number. Crystal Lake, IL 60014 or 327 E Jackson St. Woodstock, IL 60098 Charges. MCFCU does not intend to charge a fee for the HOME BANKING online service. We do, however, reserve the right to do so in the future. If we decide to charge a fee, we will provide at least 30 days advance notice to all members using the online service. Statements. You will receive a statement of account each month and it will be available to you from within the Home Banking online service via the E-Statement link. Your statement of account can be viewed online or printed if you wish. E-Statements will begin with the statement produced for the month in which you sign up. MCFCU will NOT produce a paper statement to be delivered via the USPS. Our Liability. If we do not complete a transfer to or from your account on time or in the correct amount according to our agreement with you, we will be liable for your losses or damages. However, there are some exceptions. We will not be liable, for instance: If, through no fault of ours, you do not have enough money in your account to make the transfer. If the HOME BANKING online service equipment or software was not working properly and you knew about the problem before you started the transfer. If circumstances beyond the control of MCFCU (such as a fire or flood) prevent the transfer from being completed despite resalable precautions that we have taken.
We shall not be responsible for any other losses, damage or injury whether caused by the equipment, software and/or the HOME BANKING online service, nor shall we be responsible for any direct, indirect, special or consequential damages arising in any way of the installation, use or maintenance of your equipment, software and/or the HOME BANKING online service, except where the law requires a different standard. We do not make any warranties concerning the equipment, the software or any part thereof, including, without limitations, any warranties of fitness for a particular purpose or warranties of merchantability. Errors and Questions. In case of errors or questions about your electronic transfers, we must hear from you no later than sixty (60) days after you learned of the error. Jackson St., Woodstock, IL 60098 You will need to provide us with the following information: Your name and account number; Why you believe there is an error and the dollar amount in question; Approximately when the error took place.
If you tell us orally, we may require that you send us your complaint or question in writing within ten (10) business days. We will tell you the results of our investigation with ten (10) business days and correct any error promptly. If we need more time, we may take up to forty-five (45) days to investigate the complaint, but you will have the use of the funds in question after ten (10) business days. If we ask you to put your complaint or question in writing and we do not receive it within ten (10) business days, we may not credit your account during the investigation. If we decide that there was no error, we will send you a written explanation within three (3) business days after we finish our investigation. You may ask for copies of the documents that we used in our investigation. If you need more information about our error resolution procedures, please call us at the telephone numbers shown above. Business Days. Our business days are Monday through Friday. Holidays are not included. Governing Law. This agreement shall be governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois.
