Former CU President, Robert J. “Bob” Waclawik passes away.

Obituary:

Robert J. “Bob” Waclawik, age 69, of West Dundee former many year resident of the Southwest side of Chicago passed away on Friday evening at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin. Bob was born in Chicago on May 25, 1944. He was the son of the late Joseph A. & Emily (nee Poslucszny) Waclawik. Bob was a resident of West Dundee since 1992 and an active member of St. Catherine of Siena Church, West Dundee serving his church at various times as Lector, Extraordinary Minister, and Usher. Bob was also a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus Siena Council # 8596. For most of his professional career, Bob was employed in the Credit Union Field. Prior to his retirement in 2010 his last position, a tenure of 15 years, he served as CEO of the McHenry County Federal Credit Union. In addition to several cousins, Bob is survived by his St. Catherine of Siena Parish family as well as many good and faithful friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends will gather for a Funeral Mass on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 12:00 PM (Noon) in the St. Catherine of Siena Church, West Dundee, the Rev. James Canova will officiate. Private burial will follow in the St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery, Niles. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday morning from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass. Please omit flowers, Masses would be appreciated or memorials may be made to the St. Catherine of Siena Church.
